Russian State Hydrometeorological University offers courses at all levels of higher professional education leading to Bachelor, Master, Specialist, Engineer, Candidate (equivalent to PhD) and Doctor of Sciences degrees in the area of environmental studies. Among its graduates are heads of research institutes, ministers, academicians, financiers, top managers, professors. Research work has always been among the priorities of RSHU. World famous scientific schools have been created here; large-scale international projects have been carried out under the aegis of UNESCO and WMO.
The University has also being conducting projects in the framework of the Federal Integrated Target Programme of Ministry of Education and Science Of Russia. Some projects are carried to order of the city Government.
The University maintains business contacts with international organizations and universities from more than 50 foreign countries.

Role in the project

Russian State Hydrometeorological University is a leading Russian University, responsible for development of internationally recognized competency-based tree cycle curricula and syllabi in Applied Marine Science. RSHU will prepare a list of major professional and general competencies, upgrade the existing and develop new syllabi according to new three-level curricula, estimate the workload of educational program and convert it into ECTS units. RSHU will write and publish new teaching materials for four subjects. RSHU will aslo implement the developed competency-based three cycle curricula in Applied Marine Science and start teaching according to the new curricula. RSHU will participate in retraining of staff, lecturers and students exchange.
